Profile:
Elisabete Lima is a member of the Chemistry Section of the Technological Science and Development Department (DCTD) from the University of Azores with a Ph. D. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry specialty, with specialization in Natural Products Chemistry. She develops research in the extraction, separation, identification and bioactivity of secondary metabolites from Azorean plants and marine organisms with the objective of investigating and characterizing new molecular structures from Azorean natural products with promising bioactivity in therapeutic and agro-chemical fields. She also develops applied research in the Food Chemistry and was involved in the development of the collaboration protocols particularly with agro-food regional companies. She was involved in more than 20 research projects and performs technical-scientific advises in several research projects.
